Hotter than tea:

He's 62 and a vegan (for several decades, as far as I'm aware). Impressive, isn't it?

Hello there. Did you find him on Tinder for Vegans?

I noticed you were in the market for something like that last night. :D (stupid question thread)

Here I am focusing on continued house renovations (more painting soon!), research on various topics, and taking care of Smokey.

The only thing I am in the market for is veggies, fresh fruit, rice, and tea (of course!). :)

Is Smokey ok? I somehow remembered that you had two of them. Has anything sad happened?

Smokey is eating well, alert and friendly and still jumping, although I have placed a few low chairs and footstools around so she can get to higher places easily. She is 18!

Sadly, Tiger left a year ago in July. I did not want to mention it here then, but nice of you to ask.

I won’t post a picture, but you remember how cute she was.  She had a great life here and the best care possible for all 17 of her years.

I'm very sorry to hear that. She lived to a ripe old age and had a good life. My cats and I will purr cattish for Tiger today.

Looks windy. Doesn't wind make you nervous? I'm not thinking about fens in Alps or berg in Africa, which can indeed make people go crazy, but a regular wind, moving millions of things around you in all directions and making sounds.

Not at all - I love the sound of the wind, as heard from the sand or the sea.
Years ago, on my first trip to Scotland, I arrived in Oban during a hurricane.  Could barely walk into the wind, with my heavy backpack on. Then a warm youth hostel and primitive camping style dinner.  Excellent.
You may be aware that there is a Cat 4/5 hurricane heading up the East Coast now.  The Carolinas and Virginia evacuated. 130 mph winds, with up to 165 mph predicted.
We'll see how she blows - out to sea, or right towards me.  ;)

Great sailing video without music.

Imagine how the wind sounds here.

Admit it, you've summoned the hurricanes :-)
