Re: How should we deal with the coronavirus pandemic?

"the size of my 1,000 IU pill/capsule thing."  u live in USA and do not also have 10.000 I.U capsules, strange? I have taken 50.000 I.U. a couple days days ("experimentally"), felt no difference (as expected). and this is not a recomandation, too much too long can likely give side effects.  Today I likely got 50. 000 IU from the sun, I do not take D sup in summer but I show lots of muscles-skin to the sun.

PS I informed your favorite president personally about he should recommend D vit to the people...he likely forgot few minutes later..because we have heard no such recomandation from up there, and it is quite a no brainer, is it not...

"Therapeutic improvement in vitamin D to 80–100 ng/ml h"

much better is very likely to have such level or slightly higher year around...not just in panic mode when getting COVID. Then smaller dose should be plenty.

current gov recommendations likely based on errors regnefeil

they should have hired someone that have worked with Asian options, they had not understood STDV of average lower than STDEV of spot, and got wrong conclusions on dose reccom

as expected "COVID-19 Mortality Risk Correlates Inversely with Vitamin D3 Status, and a Mortality Rate Close to Zero Could Theoretically Be Achieved at 50 ng/mL 25(OH)D3"

(the secret of the immortals ;-? or actually : - D

Have any of u gone far beyond 600 000 I.U. single dose? u also developed wings?

Effect of a Single Oral Dose of 600,000 IU

"Doses of vitamin D in excess of 6,000 IU/d were required to achieve serum 25(OH)D concentrations above 100 nmol/L, especially in individuals who were overweight or obese without any evidence of toxicity. Serum 25(OH)D concentrations up to 300 nmol/L were found to be safe."

Actually, in Poland they recommend daily dose of 4000 IU for seniors (65+) and tested safe dose is 10,000 IU.

According to pre-Covid studies vitamin D inhibits the autoimune response:, e.g. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/a ... MC6266123/
So it looks like the D vitamin might moderate the response to the virus - prevent the cytokine storm and let the organism battle the virus naturally without hurting itself?

general recommendations in general on a page or have they raised the D vitamin knowledge to the people in relation to Covid-19?

It is unclear to me if D-vit inhibits the autoimune response, or that it simply is ammunition "box" for some effective first defence mechanics that is not understood yet.  If so it means the cytokine storm is part of second defence that body uses if intruders passes first defence mechanisms. In my view it likely give illusion of inhibiting autoimune response.

Clearly ivermectin is not a universal drug - it prevents severe covid by killing parasites and thus boosting immunity, as suggested by common sense and e.g. this metastudy .
However, when it comes to loa loa, it can be more deadly when killed with ivermectin:
"The leading hypothesis that has emerged from these studies is that the sudden die off of L loa in patients treated with ivermectin can, in patients with a high parasitic load, trigger an immunological response. But the paucity of data means the jury is still out on the pathology. Indeed, Joseph Kamgno, Director of the Center for Research on Filariasis and Other Tropical Diseases (CRFilMT) at Yaounde in Cameroon, described a case in DRC in which a patient infected with L loa developed encephalopathy without any ivermectin treatment. “The mechanism is quite unclear”, says Kamgno."

Stop licking envelopes, people. There’s a pandemic out there. Use tape.

One of my windows into wingnuttery tells me that the latest story is that in five years' time, the most sought-after commodity in the world will be vaccine free semen. Want to avoid all of the DNA manipulation of the vaccines, dontcha know.

So Espen, you might want to start adding Vitamin E to your regimen.

So statistics where garbage in this paper, that I suspected after a bit more carefully looking at it, and NNT pointed out the big flaws in conclusions etc. made in relation to fig 5.

https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/13/10/3596

medical literature full of garbage stats..

"I’m at a SuperSpreader event! It’s wild!!" of Covid-19, or your genes? (both?), do not send us pictures!
