Worldwide, I think it's fair to say that the corona virus outbreak has concentrated in richer countries. Makes sense, as there is more travel from, tourism to, and trade with those countries. Since southern hemisphere countries tend to be poorer, this complicates the picture on seasonality. But, Australia is a rich, southern country and has essentially no outbreak. Ditto for the (somewhat less rich) South Africa. This suggests, going forward, there may be a strong seasonality to covid-19 new cases, like the flu. If so, will this change the debate on global warming?
