True. The South starts in April (BTW, I remember reading that they avoided the flu season last year thanks to the Covid restrictions). Still, if that lethality is calamitous, how to name what happens in the UK or the US?

Too many people showing off their bookshelves on TV.
Nice shelves and love the beard - look like Hemingway now!  I am actually going counter to trend with the amazing bookshelves. Sure, I have 'em, but why flaunt 'em?

So, my Zoom, Teams, GMeet, Skype studio has one of the Monets in the background. The colors are a perfect match for that room and a number of people have remarked on how soothing it is to see that from the other side.

On the subject of video conference calls though - this has gotten out of control!  It is nice to have, great for presenting or brainstorming or special team meetings.

But now it seems that every call must be televised.  I am happy to be social and friendly periodically throughout the week, but I really am a hermit and I really did like taking plain old telephone calls for most meetings.

Not that I run around the house in my underwear like Paul says he does, but I definitely used to spend early mornings working in my favorite leopard or tiger print pajamas. Sadly, those days are gone. : (  But if it makes work-from-home easier for the newbies, that's ok.

Ah - I already assumed a typo and formed a mental image of you in your favorite leotard before getting to the last part of the sentence!

Not that I run around the house in my underwear like Paul says he does,
Sometimes I run, usually I walk though. On occasion I will unicycle.

Thought for the day: Riding a unicycle is not like riding a bicycle.

Haha, no, not leotard, although I do have some of those for yoga classes.  and we know your favorite WFH attire, which I alluded to when I mentioned "big traders running around in wintertime in their shorts." Even if not precisely correct, it was a fun double-entendre.  How are the shorts doing today? I keep watching!

I can see the logic there.  And riding a horse is not like riding a camel.

"There's no place like home," as Dorothy said in The Wizard of Oz.

Especially if you are happy at home in...Upper Austria. : )

LOL. Careful now.

But some free association:

Zzyzx is a real town in California

and one of my favorite songs:

XYZ - Rush (HQ)

XYZ - Rush Live in Rio

Starts with dissonance, ends in consonance.
For Junior - look at that drum kit! If anyone is looking for a good concert movie for the weekend, I give Rush in Rio five stars.

I am retreating into a wall of sound with my Sennheiser headphones wrapped around my ears. Hear no evil... etc. hehe

The three edits noted below were additions of songs and so, I leave you with this - Tom Sawyer - Rush Live

The crowd is just amazing.

Have a nice weekend!

We have a choice of vaccines, and we have opinions about them.

For historians: Margaret introduced choice to the world in the 1980s. One of the few things she got wrong. Opinions are a very recent phenomenon. I’d blame Twitter for that.
