Summertime

June 14th, 2021, 1:48 pm

Not sure about the future, but traveling (masked) these days and so far, so good.

And so, an ode to my favorite island.

At one end, the wildlife refuge.

Typical "shingle-style" architecture, it can get very grand, small is beautiful and that's all I need. : )

So, a couple of books for early summer reading:

One discovered via Twitter, where someone recommended one of Rovelli's other books:

The Order of Time - Carlos Rovelli

and two found just wandering in bookstores over the past few months:

Calculus Reordered: A History of the Big Ideas

and

Tales of Impossibility: The 2,000-Year Quest to Solve the Mathematical Problems of Antiquity

Perfect for beach or bedtime reading. My sleeping/alternative mind can work things out. ; )

Wishing all of you a restful and interesting summer.
