For Rochko, the project's only full-time employee, programming at his home in a small town in eastern Germany for a modest 2,400 euro ($2,394.96) monthly salary, the work continues.

The fruit of six years' work by Eugen Rochko, a young German programmer, Mastodon was born of his desire to create a public sphere that was beyond the control of a single entity. That work is starting to pay off.

Ah, those freedom-loving Germans.

Wikipedia

Mastodon is free and open-source software for running self-hosted social networking services. It has microblogging features similar to the Twitter service, which are offered by a large number of independently run Mastodon nodes (technically known as instances), each with its own code of conduct, terms of service, privacy options, and moderation policies.

Quite simply, I would like to create an account on Mastodon, but don't really know which hosting services to pick up. My choice would be straightforward with a Wilmott Mastodon instance! And Maybe you can even find something for yourself in it, I don't know.

What about 4 8-year olds and a 31-year old to keep an eye on them?
