2. "Yes, a lot of people have lost a lot of money. The crypto asset ecosystem is losing value here. But if we're right on the underlying technology and the underlying roles that bitcoin and ether, ethereum, are going to play in this new world, then I think we're going to recover pretty quickly."

Ditto for her investors. (Note the market values vs. her cost basis). It would be interesting to know the aggregate dollar-loss-to-date for all ARK funds investors. I think of her as Warren Buffet in Bizarro World

Her love affair with bitcoin is pretty insane, but rather modest in comparison with her belief that within five years Tesla will have a world market share of 85%-95% of all new cars sold.

I’ve no idea who she is. Can someone enlighten me?

Her “edited” comment about Tesla can be interpreted in other ways. E.g. that the 85-95% is electric cars as fraction of all cars, and that Tesla will have a disproportionate (whatever that means) share of that market.

One of many investors who try to influence the market.

Her main fund is an ETF that trades under the ticker ARKK. It had a good run, but is down 75% or so from its peak. She also tends to talk her book louder than most.

I looked up her Wikipedia page for the first time, and found several notable items. She is 67. I’ll say she looks pretty good for her age. She was an Arthur Laffer protégé at USC. She spent thirty-some years working for very mainstream, staid asset managers: Capital Group, Jennison (part of PGIM) and AllianceBernstein. She is a devout Christian and her first four ETFs received seed capital from that other devout Christian, Bill Hwang of Archegos Capital. You know, he who took down Credit Suisse with his wild gambles. It all fits together. Oh, and because of her faith and mentor, she hated Biden’s tax plan.

The survey of US car owner buying intentions recently showed for the first time Tesla owners less committed to their brand than Big 3 vehicle owners.

Ditto for the Tesla stock owners.

Oil demand could plunge by 30% over the next 5 years, Cathie Wood predicts. Here’s why

Just in case you were not yet sure she's the kind of person who swear to God she has never cheated on you at the very moment you catch her in bed with her lover.
