The Stupid Clock

February 27th, 2023, 11:08 am

Aren’t the clocks going back soon? Or is it forwards? I did say it was a stupid clock!

Hello Dr. Wilmott,

Spring forward and Fall back.  Here it will happen on March 12.

Since not everyone shares in your Strangelove humor (though I do), I will offer a Smart Clock alternative to contemplate today.

This is a post from Twitter.  Those interested can request the link as shown below:

Harvard Physics @harvardphysics
#HarvardPhysicsColloq: Feb 27 @ 4:30PM
"Tunable Interactions & Entanglement: New Ingredients for Atomic Clocks"
For Zoom link, email: physics underscore colloquium at fas dot harvard dot edu

Should be interesting, even from the infamous Seat of Dumbness ;).

I hope all of you are doing very well and will enjoy the longer days ahead!

Amazon

Exhibit A: Emails from them according to gmail, “The sender hasn’t authenticated this message…”

Exhibit B: “This item cannot be delivered to your selected delivery location. Please choose another delivery location.”

As I predicted (somewhere) car insurance has rocketed. Drivers in London are absolute morons. Sometimes criminals. Occasionally both.

Amazon continued...books not delivered to a school, delivery person didn't appreciate the concept of school open hours. Am I surprised?

No one appreciates School nowadays, it seens.

I gave further details to Amazon about open times and that the school was closed at the weekends, on their own form. They tried to deliver again yesterday, a Saturday.
