QuoteA new worldwide study on obesity suggests that by 2025 the level of obesity among women in Ireland will be the second highest in Europe, just behind the UK which will be the most obese. The research, published in The Lancet medical journal, also found that almost one-fifth of the world's obese adults live in Ireland and five other high-income English-speaking countries - Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the US. Does speaking English cause obesity?

Currently British women have the 3rd highest BMI. nothing to be proud of and a huge cost to everybody else.

@ "nothing to be proud of and a huge cost to everybody else."It's not that bad. It wipes out people relatively quickly, nivellating costs of treatment of non-lethal diseases (e.g. arthritis).

Whenever I'm slimming (and it's almost always after the winter) I often find myself eating steamed broccoli watching videos like this one.
