Nigeria has banned all cars, public transport, horses, donkeys and camels in Borno state to prevent an attack by militant group Boko Haram over the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday.

Nigeria's under-17 squad wiped out as half are older than 17
A staggering 26 members of Nigeria's Under-17 side failed an age test carried out ahead of an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
A mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) screening of the squad revealed almost half were ineligible to play.
(snip)
MRI is used to scan the wrist plate of players to accurately check their true age, with only players between grade one and five of the scan eligible to participate.
Players with more advanced bone structure are considered to be adults.
anyone ever heard of MRI being used to determine age?
("heard of" as opposed to googling on the spot)

I've never heard of it and can't see how it could be that accurate given both the large genetic and individual variances in both bone structure and rate of bodily maturation plus the likely effect of athletic training on bone development.

Nigerian man with 97 wives says he is 'very much alive'... and wants to marry more women
The cleric is said to have married a total of 107 women, but has divorced 10 of them.
Mr Abubakar has come under fire because Sharia Law dictates a Muslim man can have up to four wives at a time.
he says he's on a mission from allah
