Matter of taste imho, like whether you prefer snakes or camels.
Most journals capitalise proper nouns. I personally don't like it. I still read more belles letres than technical writing to get used to such things

I remember when I was in science I spent all nights polishing my manuscripts, grammar, idioms, collocations,... Now I read published articles and sometimes can't understand what the authors mean. Not to mention the content: abstract - big promises, introduction - some garbage filler with no epistemic value, results - bunch of pictures with superficial and confusing comments, summary - repeated sentences from previous parts.
