There will be signs to find us, but we're not a quiet bunch so should easily be found,

(in norwegian)
it seems (if I read this correctly) that norway intends to ban people born after 2000 from EVER buying tobacco products
I guess you just keep raising the smoking age

VT and IL are talking about raising the smoking age to 21 in the US

Chicago raised the legal age for purchasing tobacco to 21 in March and there's talk of it going state-wide

In VT, the measure might be vetoed by the governor

No one hurt after e-cigarette sparks fire on American flight
Under Federal Aviation Administration rules , e-cigarettes are prohibited in checked luggage but allowed in carry-on bags. They may not be used on board the plane. Feinstein said all details about how the e-cigarette caught fire - including where it was being stored - will be investigated by the FAA.

coincidentally I saw this the other day, China’s 2.4 Trillion Cigarette Habit Is Actually Progress
Not sure why they don't use those exploding e-cigarettes that they ship to the rest of the world

in the UK
Pollution blamed for lung cancer in people who have never smoked
I can't see the whole article without signing up, but it looks like about 28% of people who get lung cancer in the UK never smoke and the article seems to blame pollution (those diesel particulates again?)
I assume they've taken second (and third) hand smoke into account, as smoking in public remains endemic in the UK

It certainly could be diesel particulates but it could also be caused by higher energy efficiency buildings which tend to be less drafty and thus retain higher levels of radon and VOCs emitted by building materials and furniture.

The diesel particulates hypothesis could probably be tested or estimated from cross-sectional analysis of urban vs. rural, downwind vs. upwind, or housing distance from major roads.
