Even The Daily Star (as per your link) has the story categorized under “weird news”.
Last week it was in Turkey.
I thought that was the other Ark (Noah's Ark)

Arks must have been all the rage when these stories were written.

The funny thing is that even though we use the same word in English for Noah's Ark and the Ark of the Covenant, in Hebrew different words are used.
The Hebrew word “ta-va”  used for Noah's Ark was also used for the small cradle in which the baby Moses was placed and sent off on the water.

Chapel of the Tablet

"... guarded by virgins who cannot leave the building"  Of course.

Actually, it's a pretty church. I'd pay the 200 Birr to see it.

It reminds me of Japanese spirits from Miyazaki's movies. Must have belonged to some Neolithic otaku.

Now this is a real archaeological find, not the bit of flotsam and jetsam that ppauper, Collector and katastrofa reference, what?

I find the claim that the Saudis plan to “bulldoze” an 8400 foot mountain rather fanciful. The rest of the story is just nonsense.

Like many of the archeo posts by ppauper. Hearsay. "Correlation is not causation" to use a worn-out adage,

This thread has been politicised; is has nothing to do with  archaeology.

it's a big day for archaeology. Not only was there a story on Mt Sinai, but also
Antony and Cleopatra's long lost tomb 'FOUND and is set to be uncovered'
