This thread was initially MTV.....QuoteMusic video: 'Martyrs' get paradise with maidensPalestinian TV encourages suicide attack of Jewish 'monkeys and pigs'Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' state-run television the past few weeks has broadcast a music video in which viewers are encouraged to "martyr" themselves in exchange for eternal paradise and beautiful "maidens." The Israeli-based monitor Palestinian Media Watch reports the video, airing on television controlled by Abbas' Fatah party, depicts a Palestinian woman who is shot in the back by Israeli soldiers. The woman then is transported to "paradise" where she joins white-robed "maidens" dancing in water while waiting to marry a male Palestinian who "martyrs" himself. In the next scene, according to PMW, a grieving Palestinian man is shot in the back by Israeli troops while visiting the grave of the woman killed at the start of the video. The man immediately is brought to "heaven" where he is rewarded with several white-robed "maidens," including the original woman he was mourning. "This recurring image of the martyr being rewarded by receiving the Maidens [is] part of the multifaceted Palestinian Authority campaign glorifying and encouraging terror, and promoting suicide terror as idyllic," states a PMW report. PMW cites other recent instances in which Palestinian television encouraged suicide terrorism for the reward of paradise ripe with beautiful women. In one recent video, a Palestinian about to blow himself up among Jewish civilians is depicted reciting a prayer hoping for "paradise." "Angels of mercy, escort our souls to Heaven after we fulfill this duty of crushing the descendents of monkeys and pigs. Dear father and mother, blessings of honor and respect to you, while you escort me to the Maidens of Paradise as a Martyr," states the soon-to-be suicide bomber. In a sermon broadcast on PA television, Ismail al-Radouan, a prominent Palestinian sheik, declares, "When the Shahid meets his maker, all his sins are forgiven from the first gush of blood. He is exempted from the torments of the grave; he sees his place in paradise, he is shielded from the great shock, and marries 72 Dark Eyed (Virgins)." In an interview recently broadcast on Palestinian television, the mother of a real life suicide bomber explains how she had hoped her son would "martyr" himself. "He (my son) would always dream of Shahada, it was his first and last goal in life. I told him, 'Dear, we all want to be shahids.' He said, 'In this entire world, I can't think of anyone to marry. I want to marry the Dark Eyed [Virgins or Maidens of Paradise].' I said if these are his thoughts, I wish him Shahada (martyrdom)."

QuoteOriginally posted by: migalleyHungary: Rioters attack TV stationThe moral of the story seems to be: Never trust a socialist!yes, I agree. However, I would like to point out some issues, unknown for you1. The current prime minister, F. Gyurcsany, has also committed accounting and other kinds of frauds. ( Then he was not a prime minister ). These include a.a. a " fraudulend leasing" from the state, where he acquired ( "leased" ) a state property such, that even the state payed after it. Also, he cheated, when claiming back VAT from the state. Since the VAT stuff lapsed, he could not be impeached.2. His economic leap frogs are also less known. In January he cut back the highest tariff of VAT from 25 % to 20% to win the national elections. Having won, he restored back the original situation. This is everything but consistent economic policy.3. The prime minister said, that in Hungary the " elite " is to be supported at the cost of the middle class. YOu should know, that there the "elite" got their fortune with manipulations mentioned in #2. And e.g. a research matematician earns < EUR 800 gross.4. The closest family of the prime minister actively took part in beating down the revolution of 56 sending many innocent people to gallows.I do not understand one thing. The European Socialist party is giving a support to a guy like this. Does the Eur. Soc. Party think, that all-all these things are in line with democracy ?And I would extend the moral a bit.The moral is : the differential equation is the same, but the boundary and initial conditions changed compared to those in the 50s.In plain English it means : they would shoot among the crowd, if they could. ( No Russians in Hungary, EU norms, etc. )

Guys, you are missing the fundamental theorem of politics. In a democracy every nation has the leaders it deserves. I really doubt the sympathetic Magyars have a weird sense of humour and elected this idiot just for fun.

I really doubt the sympathetic Magyars have a weird sense of humour and elected this idiot just for fun. Oh yes. Totally agree.About 2.400.000 voted for the socialists, and 2.300.000 for the opposion. The moral is, that the 2.4E6 got it as a reward, what the other 2.3E6 experience as a punishment. However, if you wanted to live in a country of your own where more || less the meritocratism rules, then the above wisdom would not reassure you @ all, indeed.anyway : I would doubt, that socialism ab ovo represses middle class. But you, guys, do not know one thing of this " socialist" prime minister. Namely, that he is a factory owner, with an aggregated fortune of about 20 mio EUR. ( Which is hell a lot of money in a country, where the average annual wage is EUR 4.000 gross )And what is even stranger, that he completely ignores to comply with the labour safety rules in his ( sweat) facory. And he simply fires those workers who express their objection because of this. And all this can happen in an EU country. And I could be keeping on telling all this guy's weird things. ( as well as about the circumstances of the last elections ) But you are not that much interested, I guess. What I think to be the most pathetic, is that the European Socialist Party considers him to be the " most eligible " person to "lead Hungary out of the crisis". A person, who lies, and calls his country " fucking Hungary".Sometimes I have the feeling, that the EU simply considers the CEE countries as " white colonies" . Which is not too nice, is it ?( P.s. : It was really shocking, as people stood on a big square even filling up the flyover above the square. And they were reciting " You fucked it away" = ( "el-kúr-tad" in Hungarian) And " insane guy" ( = "el-me-be-teg" in Hungarian ) The guy is just giving an interview in which he says " I do not even get it, why I should apoligise" -> maybe the crowd is all right : he is a real el-me-be-teg. )

Actually she has been rejected. In my point a laundry model is not the most appropriate person to represent Hungary.Just imagine : if the " őszödi böszme " ( the Hungarian prime minister ) does something weird again, the aggressive journalists may ask " Ms. Demcsak, what is the naked truth about this fact ?" ... and everyone would LOL, ruining even the last fragments of reputation of the current government.Besides, this "lady"'s family has ( not surprisingly during a "social" " democratic" governance ) a close connection with the underworld . And her commitment towards " social sensitivity " is questionable - yes, mine too, but I do not apply for a spokesman position at the " social democrats" ( aka. communists ) .But yes, with the eyes of a man, she is attractive. I would definitely search for her in de " rosse buurt" in Amsterdam

I don't wanna save the prime minister of HU, but Anita's posts imply that people made a bad choice at the last election, even if one considers only the moral aspects. The truth is that there was only two bad options to vote for. It is certainly true that the current prime min. had/has some "sneaky" business after the transition, but let's not forget about one of the most beneficial legal business in the world which was invented, and kept alive for years by Hungarian politicans in the early 90's, called oilblondening (translated word by word): the state donated the heating oil keepeng its price low compared to the dieseloil. The trick was that by adding some acid to the heatingoil the coloring agent (which was meant to distinguish it from the dieseloil ) could be neutralized, and the heating could be sold as dieseloil. This artficial arbitrage was maintaind for 5 years (during the reign of the first and second freely elected government), and according to conservative estimations it caused several billions EUR damage to the state, and profit for the involved ones. The size of the business can be described by the fact that when the donation was erased the heatingoil import of Hungary dropped to some thousands liter from several millions. It's clear that both political parties were deeply involved: the results of the investigations run in the late 90's (during the governance of the right wing party) were classified for 85 years So my two cents is that there's no chance that a morally acceptable goverment will be elected in Hungary in the next few years/decades. Anyway, democracy never reaches global, only local optimum.
