indeed
I once lived in a town which had an annual spring clean day, when volunteers would pull shopping carts out of the river and so on. The inevitable happened when a group of volunteers came across a wall covered in graffiti and went to work. Evidently it was a mural by a well-known artist

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to remove it.

I don't know if  there are any freemasons here
Freemasons call for end to 'discrimination' of members
isn't that one of the purposes of the freemasons, that a freemason will discriminate in favor of other freemasons.
The rest of us belong to a secret society called not-freemasons (it's so secret that freemasons don't even know about it) and discriminate in favor of other not-freemasons

From the article
He told BBC Breakfast: "We're not a secretive society. Nepotism (and) corruption is not tolerated."
He added that the handshake used by members during ceremonies is "not secret" but, when he was asked to demonstrate it to viewers of BBC Breakfast, he declined, saying he had "promised" not to.

got it, it's not secret, he's just promised not to tell anyone

Regularly. Why? Are you trying to deride me suggesting that I read Guardian?

Obviously the Guardian is worse, next stop Socialist Worker (or Socialist Can’t-Be-Bothered-To-Work-Am-Happy-Sniffing-Glue). But The Independent is getting disturbingly close.

more healthcare rationing under socialized medicine in britain
Women with overweight husbands will be refused IVF on NHS

Research shows that obese women struggle to conceive, which is why areas have withdrawn IVF from them.
However according to officials, being overweight does not affect a man’s sperm quality.

it looks like they've previously "withdrawn" fertility treatment from fat women (i.e. refused to treat) and now they're refusing to treat women married to fat men. If the article is to be believed, there's no legitimate medical reason for this. It's just to save money, and they might as well say that they're not going to treat women married to bald men, or women married to men from some ethnic group or other. I'm not even sure there's a legitimate medical reason to refuse to treat fat women: they "struggle to conceive" so it's a little bit harder to treat them, but so what?
If I'm a private healthcare company and I don't want to treat fat people, I give them their money back and they can get treatment elsewhere. But here, the UK government keeps their money (in the form of taxes to pay for socialized medicine) so they don't have any money to get treated elsewhere.

Men's health effect on the sperm quality and epigenetic influence on children's health have been neglected for a long time, but over the past several years it's been shown that it's no lesser than that of women's health (there are free-access reviews online). It's clear enough to consider when allocating scarce resources to optimise society's welfare. I personally think that IVF treatment should be offered only to people with mechanical infertility for whom there's high probability of success.
