horrible, Dogs going into UK'ean people

"UK law says that you can't buy or sell dog meat, but if you humanely kill a dog you own, you can eat it."
2019 UK should ban eating of dog meat, says MP

"The USA, Germany, Austria, South Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong have already banned dog meat consumption. However, it is not illegal in the UK."

The first! The first actual conviction in February of this year!  Well hallelujah!!  How does that contradict what I said?

Now google for what the West Midlands police tweeted a couple of years ago on the issue, To help here is the appropriate search term:
‘Education and safeguarding vulnerable girls is the focus. Prosecuting / jailing parents unlikely to benefit child’.

No it doesn't, this has being going on in the UK for years, the NSPCC estimate 137,000 cases in the UK, you call 1 conviction 'confronting the problem', you think one of the police forces that would see this most often saying prosecution is not a priority is confronting the problem?

It's bullshit that "the policy decision has been made in the UK not to confront the problem". Talking to people like you is like wrestling with an amoeba. Let's better crawl our separate ways.

You're misrepresenting facts. NSPCC says: "Combining the figures for the three age groups, an estimated 137,000 women and girls with FGM, born in countries where FGM is practised, were permanently resident in England and Wales in 2011." This is completely different than "estimate 137,000 cases in the UK".

This NSC / cabinet leak investigation is going to be fun.

Colonel mustard in the library with the revolver ? Miss Scarlett in the conservatory with the rope?

I hope the Agatha Christie style reveal in the drawing room is televised.

I particularly like the self-referential nature of the leak, being about possible Chinese access to secret info.

That was quite fast for a game of Cluedo. I find people usually lose interest before the denouement.
