This is because discussions at the highest superordinate level (e.g. furniture, deep interrogation)  is foreign to many, They are happier at the subordinate level (e.g. my favourite armchair). Even the in between  basic level (that furniture is expensive) is hardly even used.

Boris J and brexiteers  operate exclusively at the superordinate level ("take back control", "big bad EU") while Jeremy C uses basic level instances ("workers' rights", support Arsenal, waterboarding ) in the  main,

Lib Dems in between, with leanings to fantasy politics.

Just listen to BJ next time. In C++ he uses abstract base classes (i.e. no body) all the time.
