bob novak:QuoteFred THOMPSON to run:Although revelation of his cancer history has cleared the decks for Fred Thompson to run for the Republican presidential nomination, his commitments as a television and radio performer may delay his announcement until June. As an actor on NBC's "Law and Order," Thompson can scarcely abandon the show during the May ratings sweeps and has taped programs that will be aired then. He also has commitments to ABC as a stand-in for radio commentator Paul Harvey. There was no reason for Thompson to make the cancer revelation if he did not plan to run for president, and this indicates he intends to join the race. However, prominent Republicans are delaying an endorsement until he actually announces his candidacy.

mr dress upQuotePublic has chance to dress political figures onlineCartoonDollEmporium, a dress-up games site intended for girls between 8 and 16, has created a special section for political characters posing in their underwear, giving the public a chance to dress them up (or down) as everyone sees fit.Giuliani's options include not only an evening gown and wig in honor of his previous cross-dressing, but also high-profile characters in his life, including his son, his current wife and his ex-wife.

Giuliani Emerging As Favorite of Gays meanwhileQuoteRepublican presidential candidate Tommy Thompson said an employer should be allowed to fire a gay worker solely for being gay.Thompson answered the question Thursday during a GOP candidates' debate in California. The question: "If a private employer finds homosexuality immoral, should he be allowed to fire a gay worker?"His response: "I think that is left up to the individual business. I really sincerely believe that that is an issue that business people have got to make their own determination as to whether or not they should be."Asked if his answer was yes, Thompson said, "Yes."
