the early indications seem to be that this train crashed because it went round a curve at what twice the posted speed, and the engineer is refusing to talk to the authoritiesThere's an old adage, "never let a good crisis go to waste", and Obama is evidently using this crash to demand that the US taxpayer pump billions into infrastructureObama calls for greater infrastructure spending in wake of Amtrak crashBoehner erupts over suggested link between Amtrak funding and crash

more on the crashnow the story seems to be that the engineer claims he can't remember the crash, and there's also a story that the train may have been hit by something (small, a rock or a bullet) before the crash (and that's may have, not was)

PA's AG: a future democratic president?QuoteAttorney General Kathleen Kane has been without a valid law license since the state Supreme Court suspended it in October, and she faces a criminal trial scheduled for August on allegations she leaked secret grand jury material and lied about it.the senate tried to remove her but it failed (the vote was 29-19 and they needed a 2/3 supermajority, all but 1 of the dems stood by her)
