You obviously get filtered news over there. Actually, so do we but it's another kind of filter.
I don't know why you think I get filtered news. We agree that bad things have happened to the rohingya muslims. What you seem to ignore is that the rohingyas are both victims and assailants.
Burma has a population of about 50 million.
About 5% (so about 2.5 million) are muslim.
About 0.5% (so about 1/4 million) are hindu.
the small number of hindus in burma are mostly in areas which have large muslim populations.
The buddhist majority in burma (almost 90%) would rather the muslims weren't there and are committing genocide against the muslims.
The muslims in turn would rather the hindus weren't in their area and are committing genocide against the hindus
from the link earlier,
After the massacre, many Hindus of the Maungdaw District fled their native areas. The majority of the Hindus were internally displaced within Rakhine State, while around 500 Hindus fled to Bangladesh along with the Rohingya Muslims. Initially the Hindu refugees tried to find shelter in the Kutupalong refugee camp along with the Rohingya Muslims. However, they were ostracized and attacked by the Rohingya Muslims at the camp. In one incident, the Rohingya Muslim refugees tried to forcefully convert an 18-year old Hindu refugee whose husband and parents were killed in the massacre and get her married to a Muslim man. She was later rescued by her uncle.
That's quite something. The hindus forced to leave by the muslims and the muslims forced to leave by the buddhists find themselves in the same refugee camp, where the muslims continue to attack the hindus
