Dude, I would love to see that chick from Sirenia and Amy Lee perform together!Wouldn't that be something? The female energy and anskt would be enough to make the building shake and crumble into a gothic wastland RIGHT BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES! Yeah! I would love to have a front row seat to that s***! You know that's right!

So Cactus Man, just curious - the harder metal does not seem to interest you as much.Understandable, as such growling and screaming from women is not for all tastes. But to me it is interesting to see the form evolving from, say, Lacuna Coil onward.I have ordered several new CDs today. Maria Brink and the guys from In This Moment

Oh, that reminds me. Iron Maiden is of course not gothic. They'er something else (maybe "theatrical hard metal"). I just liked that video.

Please check out that one below, Sirenia--"The Path to Decay". (Here it is again: Sirenia--The Path to Decay) I have really grown to like it.Great lyrics:"Seems like I'm falling deeper, deeper insi--i--i--ide: myselfFeels like I'm growing weaker, much weaker, each da--a--a--ay, I'm on the path to decay."And excellent execution by this band! This song reaches out, grabs you by the balls, and PUTS YOUR FEET RIGHT ON THE OL' PATH TO DECAY!I love it!Yeah! I can feel that deep extistential angst, dude! I'm serious!

Oh, this is very nice.Sophisticated in the way that only Gothic Punk can be. Excellent blending of male and female vocals and energy.Nightwish--Bye Bye BeautifulGothic Punk has an uncanny ability to drill deep into human nature and span the poles of its aspects.

I like this one too.Nightwish--Sleeping SunBeautiful video. A gothic masterpiece.Wonderful deep-deep, dark-dark gothic lyrics, too:"I wish for this night-time to last for a life time...Oh, how I wish to go down with the sun--sleeping, weeping, with you...Sorrow has a human heart..."Close to gothic perfection!

I Walk Alone - Tarja TurunenHere is Tarja on her own. Had a dispute with the band (undisclosed, but I suspect song writing credits). Also,Tarja - Die AliveShe reminds a bit of a Goth Metal Kate Bush. The drama and soaring vocals are there.
