Nice bottles, but they don't look as happy as the one posted by Kata.
I just wanted to try how the beer tasted warm.

It was a ruin when I was there and a bit disappointing.
Alcock and Brown?
From what I've learnt from the chap (unless he was pulling my leg), the roof and the windows were removed to evade taxes (only the stable has a roof now). Unfortunately, it's not looking to change. There are clients (the Irish national trust among them) who want to buy and renovate the property, but the eight owners cannot agree about it.

He told me fascinating stories about guys who came all the way one from Newfoundland and another from Brazil (!) on rafts across the ocean. About the aviators I've learnt from your post :-)

And you chose to warm it by, wait, never mind...

Unfortunately, I didn't read the road sign correctly, and it turned out to show the direction to some distant Cathair Na Mare (Cat hair in the Sea?) in county Mayo. But I helped to remove a tick from a local cat today!
I'll possibly next visit Cork with my friend who was born there. I'm curious how different it will be.

The photo of Connemara ponies - the most laid-back ponies in the world.

BTW, two Irish ladies i met at the post office used the word "lovely" in every sentence at least once!

We know a woman just like that! We call her "Mrs. Lovely".

Don't know Cork. Northeners tend not to go south. My favourite Corkman is Micheal Collins who was Chairman of the Provisional Government of the Irish Free State. My grandfather knew him when they were interned in Frongoch camp in 1916. Grandpa Daniel Tuite was a painter so he was free to move in the camp and keep his comrades up to date with developments. He also played in the All-Ireland football final in the camp.

And of course, Rory Gallagher.

"Countess Markievicz" was some nickname? A poor one - Markievicz/Markiewicz/Markievitsch sounds like a Russian peasant name.

She wanted to blend in with the local community. WB Yeats proposed (marriage) to her on several occasions.
FYI WBY is not buried in (the grounds of) Lissadel House, but in France. Don't tell the Yanks, for heavens sake.

She was English and first woman MP in Westminster. She did not take her seat, in keeping with Sinn Fein policy.

This SF policy of disenfranchising their voters is very amusing.
