I find that hard to believe .. abuse of power is universal. You're in denial.
It's just that you don't hear about it ... or want to hear about it.

Baptist communities tend to be more closely-knit and information leaks out slowly.

I did a randon search

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-27/b ... ce/9197286

As women begin to publicly tell their stories of domestic abuse for the first time, Baptist leaders have called for recognition "that we have a serious problem with domestic and sexual violence in churches", and momentum is growing for significant cultural change across Australian denominations.

there's been a shooting at a computer game tournament (evidently such things exist) at Jacksonville Landing in Florida which left the shooter and 2 others dead and several wounded.
The killer, David Katz, began shooting shortly after he lost the Madden NFL gaming tournament.
He's a white male who belongs to the "resistance" and  referred to supporters of the president as "trumptards"

Turns out when you are killed in a video game turnament you die in real life.

And Yeshua said to his disciples, “It is not possible that offenses shall not come, but woe to him by whose hand they shall come.”
It were better for him if the millstone of a donkey were hung on his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he would subvert one of these little ones.

I shall have to plead the third on this.

Do all these amendments revolve around guns?

I have no idea what bearish is trying to say
The Third Amendment (Amendment III) to the United States Constitution places restrictions on the quartering of soldiers in private homes without the owner's consent, forbidding the practice in peacetime. The amendment is a response to the Quartering Acts passed by the British parliament during the buildup to the American Revolutionary War, which had allowed the British Army to lodge soldiers in private residences.

You guys are all mixed up - or maybe deliberate nonsense.

1st amendment - free speech
2nd amendment - right to bear arms ** relevant
3rd amendment - as noted by ppauper
4th amendment - no search and seizure
5th amendment - right not to recriminate oneself ** relevant

Bearish meant the 5th I think. But perhaps Norway has a third amendment and it might also be relevant...

One of you can check that out.

And as The Clash say, “Know your rights, all three of them!”

The fifth is interesting - due process, no double jeopardy, some other things.

“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.“

There should be something like this around here. :D

But instead the default is guilty until proven innocent.

Which is kind of like proving the existence of God.
