I know they are lovely, just not my most favourite band.

John Mayers doing Ain't no sunshite (when she's gone):
https://youtu.be/ktyhXq00RxQ?t=88

He stops trying to sing at 1:20. Then the smooth bluesy guitar starts + drums... I like his playing - he's clearly fascinated with the instrument.
Ouch, he's trying to sign again at 3:00 - it's reggae?

From 1966

Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go beserk
Well you left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho-ho hee-hee ha-haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right?
You know you laughed
I heard you laugh, you laughed
You laughed and laughed and then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad

And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ho-ho hee-hee ha-haaa
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind unselfish, loving deeds
Ha! Well you just wait
They'll find you yet and when they do
They'll put you in the A.S.P.C.A.
You mangy mutt
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa
They're coming to take me away ha-haaa ho-ho hee-hee
To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they're coming to take me away
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away ha-haaa!

Learn to Fly!

Favorite songs from the '80s for me on this holiday weekend so far.

Just a few of many:

Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi

Home Sweet Home - Motley Crue

Patience - Guns N' Roses

and this last one - good ballad but the video of woman in white doing cartwheels and ballet moves across the hoods of two Jaguars (black/white) - priceless. : D

Whitesnake - Here I Go Again

Lemme tell you about my qualifications

I program computers
I know accounting and psychology
I took a course in business
And I can speak a little Japanese, fox on

Gotta work two years
To get one week off with pay
And when I'm on my job
I better watch every word I say
Ain't that a beach, oh boy

Somebody doing something slick, downtown

It's got me wondering which is which
Mighty well, go out of town and dig a ditch

Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

and then some throwbacks to the '70s:

Take It Easy - The Eagles

Running' on Empty - Jackson Browne

Midnight Rider - Allmän Brothers

But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no,
not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider....

and that is me - on a long steady lope into the distance!

Have a great night!

Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Scar Tissue was their first song I heard. My colleagues dismissed them - they claimed RHCP betrayed their old style for money and the lyrics were gobbledygook...
I think the lyrics are quite metaphysical (the frontman's long hair might have influenced my opinion, though) :-)

Classic: Under the Bridge

And one of my fav gobbledygooks: Hey-oh

And in short hair, doing a bit of Prodigy - I still like them: By the Way

By the way, Foo F-yickes are horrible. They stink Nirvana.

I wonder to what festivals and concerts I will in Norway. I saw that Beth Hart performed there.

Maroon No 5

He ripped off Pachelbel's Canon! At least he changed the words...

Sounds best on some mass-ive organs, especially when you sit in front of them - blows off your hair :-D
Image
Ans so, because of a stupid Maroon 5, I hammered my piano until 4 in the morning :-(
