Que veut cette horde d'esclaves
De traîtres, de rois conjurés?
Pour qui ces ignobles entraves
Ces fers dès longtemps préparés?
Ces fers dès longtemps préparés!
Français, pour nous, Ah quel outrage
Quel transport il doit exciter!
C'est nous qu'on ose méditer
De rendre à l'antique esclavage!

In only the last few days I studied the text of Marselaise; no wonder they get worked up..

Слава Україні! I'm not sure which team was more drunk, but it cost both many injuries.

It seems unfair the referees didn't blow his whistle as the Swiss goalkeeper was too advanced.
I mean it is unfair to the French who always play by the rules. Don't you agree?

The good news is NI will get its sausages in time for Glorious 12th July celebrations. Unfortunately, I can't make it this year.
If England play their cards right they could make the final if they don't get the run of themselves, something that happens to Oranje every 2 years since 1974.
I'm probably the only one here who saw the 1066 final live.

I love to annoy Dutch people with this goal.

Is there anything more disgusting than a football fan?

Ces fanatiques fous furieux
Abreuvés de haine et de bière
Défiant les crétins en bleu
Insultant les salauds en vert

I’d put those two in different categories. While aiming a fairly powerful laser pointer at the eyes of a goalie at a critical moment is probably unlikely to do permanent damage, it could certainly be enough of a distraction to materially affect the outcome of the game. Booing the national anthem of a peaceful little (not to mention “yndigt”) country is just bad manners.

There's a precedent; they booed the Scots, Germans and all the other teams they played.
