It's been 316 metonic cycles since Ussher's beginning of the world, that's a bit over 100*pi cycles so it must be true!Bonfires are good, especially in this era of global cooling. Plus we can bake pies in the bonfires. P.S. I *love* moon pies!

I agree. He was spared this year, but I see no reason for benevolence in 2010. We had even discussed this in 2008, but he disappeared around the holidays...

I was fetching the image at exactly the same moment as you were posting your question. Look at the time stamps. It is surely a sign!!!

Who can deny the Hand of God in All This?I'm thinking we might preserve The Offering until the beginning of the next cycle, which will be very close to the stroke of midnight GMT between the Old Reckoning dates of December 21 and 22, 2014, or 1805 days from now. Until then, we should treat The Offering with respect, and at most remind ourselves in rebuke of his typical nonsense of how many days he has left, e.g.:QuoteQuoteOriginally posted by: The Offeringindeed, allah is the moon-god of mecca1805.

QuoteThis is a bizarre overpost. I was fetching the image at exactly the same moment as you were posting your question QuoteCuch, any experience with weaving a Wicker Man?Not exactly, but I do have a small forest of hazel trees and a larger one of conifers(branches burn niiice). So the infrastructure is there. I suggest doing it at the ancestral home in Donegal Town near Atlantic Ocean (you get my drift). We will all give ppauper a warm Reconstructionist welcome. Pimms #6 and croquet after the event. hope the weather is good.

We should extend an invitation to Wilfrid. He would make a splendid Master of Ceremonies.I will bring the Macallan's; 57 year-old should do nicely for the Après-brûlée.
