I have been a long time watch fanatic, and I just got my first really nice watch. Its a Zenith Gran Port Royal Open. Just curious if there are others on this forums that enjoy owning nice watches. What do you have in your collection?

Its a toy basically, you look at it, admire its construction, and enjoy wearing it. Think of the zenith. The case is so solidly built, the crystal so perfectly fits in its place, extending the curvature of the case. rarely do you see such precision. So many small little pieces working to keep the time, you would think it should be fragile but its built to withstand a lifetime of constant use. Think about the watchmaking that goes behind the el primero movement. If you do financial modelling you might be able draw parallels. In the case of the zenith, the movement is a beautifully decorated and highly complex physical model of the passage of time.
