Are you saying that the fake Rolex I inherited might not be a genuine fake?A friend just had a Rolex in for service. Have you also noticed they don’t return any parts they replace in the process despite the fact that we own those parts and they don’t? I’ve never seen any Rolex purchase agreement that says they lease watches instead of selling them. I assume Rolex is trying to prevent the mixing of used parts in fakes.
I prefer to wear a now 50-year old Swiss department store diver's watch (labelled "Telestar" with a Tudor movement) my father bought for me in Europe. The neoprene strap lasted 35 years of daily use before needing replacement. I've had it cleaned twice since 1972. Keeps more accurate time than my Rolex Daytona ever did. Rivals my 50-year old wind-up Omega for accuracy.
