And why are deaths reported as *untimely?" Is there such a thing as a "timely" death?People are always reported as dying after a short illness, or after a long illness. Why does no one ever die after a medium-length illness?

Hmm. He is probably my favorite author, and more for his turn of phrase than the storylines. His language is certainly rich, but I don’t know that I quite get snobbish. I think he may have peaked at “Pattern Recognition”, but at the time he mentioned the eastern seaboard, he was also busy making up cyberspace and the Boston-Atlanta Sprawl.Thank you <3
William Gibson used it in Neuromancer, and his English has always felt so snobbish to me!
