Guys, here is a question that may sound stupid so it suits but I really don't understand what the hell is wrong with UK zip codes. I mean, it's totally clear with american zip codes, you have five digits and each combination represents a region, it works this way all over the world but why in the UK they have this crazy mix of letters and numbers.
Ever heard of mind map?

There were some changes in newer versions of scipy. Use PPoly instead.

Thanks, Farid.
I was working from scipy 0.13 docs .... at a certain stage it dawned on me that PiecewisePolynomial (BTW a strane one?) was gone.
Wasted a few hours on this one..

// The interpolate module has some cute stuff, not all of which is mainstream.

Why are the markings on the roads in the US reversed?

Instead of, say,

PED
XING

It will say

XING
PED

They think we read slowly the first word we get to.

In the UK every time I see that road sign “Think Bike. Think Biker” I immediately think Bikest. (Not a question, just more on road signs.)

Make sure they don't have mica muscovite mineral dust.
Avoid quick-drying cement between the blocks (as used by male-fide brickies and the Mob)

"Oh look, it's Ricardo Montalban," I say during Spy Kids 2. Why did I say that? How do I know who he is? Wikipedia says he's been in loads of movies. I've probably seen two. And Fantasy Island. But that's no reason to know his name. I don't know the names of anyone in The Love Boat.
