Splendid isolation!
Here in NL, even if your are 24 with gf you are expected to stay at her parents' place 24,25 December. Junior went nuts. No drum kit there.

It's like birthday party on vallium.

Dutch people always sit in a circle at birthday parties. The circle keeps getting bigger, until you can only speak to the person on either side of you. No one knows why. It is one of life's great mysteries.

The order of things is as follows:

15:00-16:00 – coffee + one slice of cake
16:30 – cheese, sausage + sundry snacks are placed on the table (DO NOT TOUCH THESE UNTIL EVERYONE HAS A DRINK IN THEIR HAND AND HAS DRUNK A TOAST TO THE HOST, KLOOTZAK!)
17:00 – a beverage is served.

If his gf was Eastern European he would come back 10 kg heavier with a two week supply of warenyky, borszcz, bigos in jars and 3 kinds of cakes you've never seen before. Eastern European wife and in laws = -10 years to life expectancy

Is there a chance Mark Knopfler finally finds a shirt that suits him well some day?

Does anyone know the name of that cursive typeface that's suddenly everywhere?

could you post an example? I have a  dictionary of type faces so even if it is not immediately recognizable I might be able to find it.

I've been learning calligraphy particularly Gaelic script recently. But I doubt that would be of interest to you!

Cursive "everywhere" sounds a bit vintage/retro to me.

Well, just be advised that you are competing for attention with the last football games of the regular season...

but at least we can see that you are back to your pre-concussion sharp self. : )

Just in time for the New Year’s Eve festivities!
