Indeed, that is the Horstrich Integration! See how nicely he is taking contact "on the bit" too!**If we multiply outrun's Poly-dog by Cuchulainn's calculating cats, will we have a Fast Furrier Transformation?

these photographs are all lovely - however the thread title is not grammatically correct. please change to "photos" as in the plural rather than "photo's" as in the possessive case.

The OP is Dutch and the plural nominative tends to be replaced by the singular, genitive. You kannie change titles anymore.Something else: Notice how many people use "it's" instead of "its". It's (!) awful.

QuoteOriginally posted by: daveangelQuote You kannie chnge titles anymore.really ? well, this is so offensive I think Admin should take a look !See here http://www.wilmott.com/messageview.cfm? ... adid=84918 BTW guide to apostrophes !!!!Be aware of the its/it's trap. Use an apostrophe with the word "it" only when you want to indicate a contraction for "it is" or "it has." It is a pronoun, and pronouns have their own possessive form that does not use an apostrophe. For example, "That noise? It's just the dog eating its bone." This may seem confusing, but it follows the same pattern as other possessive pronouns: his, hers, its, yours, ours, theirs. In Dutch, the apostrophe is used for:1. to show that something has been removed, e.g. A'dam, R'dam.2. instead of s after s, e.g. Hans' boek3. to avoid the word being incorrectly spoken,e.g. baby's (babys would sound different from 'babies') So, OP proably means plural of 'photo' Since the letter 'y' does not morph into 'ie' in the plural in Dutch you need some way of inferring plurality.

A response and a further comment. On it's versus its: if I post from the iPhone, the default is it's regardless of context. If I catch it, I can override, but otherwise up it goes, right or wrong. Then I have to backtrace and edit once I see it as posted. Sometimes this even involves logging back in, if I have exited quickly. So it bothers me, but sometimes I let it go. Only a few of the more literate senior members here would notice anyway and hopefully they forgive me. Now for a problem even more worthy of admin's attention. I have held my tongue for a long time because he is surely quite busy policing my images and ppauper's links and titles and so forth, but this situation where cut and pasted text appears with question marks for dashes and improper apostrophes is rather disturbing. Generally speaking, I do go back in to the pilfered text and make corrections, but this is time-consuming and I could be posting risqué pictures or writing freshly-plagiarized poems instead.Which would you rather see - an error-free article ripped from the Wall Street Journal or a stacked, nubile young lady from the former Soviet Union clad only in duct tape?Being pretty OC about editing, I usually sacrifice your visual pleasure for grammatical correctness. However, sometimes I get cranky and am not in the mood to fix machine errors.Well, as with a number of things lately, I just had to get that off my chest. Maybe I can go back to sleep now, except that the birds are making a tremendous racket outside. Birds' prerogative. Note the use of the *plural* possessive case.TS 4:44 am

BTW: where did we wind up on the question of commas? Oxford-Harvard convention or...apples, oranges, and strawberriesapples, oranges and strawberriesI much prefer the former, though I know that I am not consistent in the application of that style.Again, do you log back in to make a correction, given your stylistic druthers? Or are you truly losing your mind? ***References:(Past conversations about commas)angry and incendiary emailsWith participation of hayes, who holds very strong opinions on this matter. The a$$ hole of financeIncludes a comment from Traden about semicolonials.
