So I guess this would be the place to discuss the number one theme occupying Norwegians tonight. Should Johannes have been disqualified for obstruction after winning the 50k XC classic mass start event in the Oberstdorf world championship today? Or should the rogue Russian, Alexander Bolshunov, who has a habit of running into and over competitors have been disqualified? And then there is the small matter of the guy who walked away with the gold medal. He’s kind of an afterthought, although Putin himself seems to have suggested tonight that he is not a rightful winner. It’s a bit of a mess and, for a change, it doesn’t even involve doping.

Could be worse; e.g coming 3rd behind that Swede at the 2002 Olympics. The bar I was in Geilo erupted. AFAIK cross-country.
Even losing to USA was more palatable.

The record doesn’t quite support that story, although it is a little trickier than usual given some ex post disqualifications for doping. But as best as I can tell (I certainly wouldn’t claim to remember it) among those involved in medal battles that only affected Johann Muehlegg (the totally nuts Spaniard from Germany). Medal winners like Botvinov and Hoffmann were caught and banned later.

“Fantastisk utsikt” kind of calls for a photo, you know! I’d settle for one of either said vista or of you.

In the only "single" selfie I managed to take (and I took it only to give my companion a heart attack standing on the edge of a cliff) i look like after a series of unsuccessful plastic surgeries proceeded by the collision with a bus, butter I'll share it to the enjoyment of my duck lip fans :-)

Some rude Pocket dweller splashed me today because he was skiing too fast! ;-( And I skiied into a horsepoo, because someone from the local horse people must have decided it's the end of the skiing season and the trail is theirs. Never! Spring mud skiing season is about to begin! :-)

Trollelgen dissing me today:

Han sto ved veien til huset mitt og spiste grøne blader. Større enn jeg forstilt meg.

Better times will come, descuida ;-)

Skiing with a dog is also very popular here. I tried it today. I was doing the dog part.

Back in my skiing days, people with dogs in the XC tracks ranked just barely above those who decided to exercise their legal right to walk on foot there.

While in Norway - a little huffing and puffing going on today in Kata’s neighborhood regarding vaccines. Something north of a thousand vaccination appointments for Thursday and Friday in the municipality of Bærum were cancelled. Because, you know, it’s Easter. We all must go to the cabin! This is a holy thing - no time for distractions.
