You never can tell; 90% of the waitresses are from Sverge and DK (big wages).

Not tropical (destroyed for palm oil) indeed, but they have boreal rainforests. Still, everybody should take action to protect rainforests.

Oslo nicely shows why the BMI index is not an adequate measure of healthy weight. It has a reputation of one of the slimmest European capitals, but what I've seen over the weekend has been mostly fat - just slightly taller.

That sounds like a perfectly good reason to learn a language, although I must admit that I had never heard about the author before. Then again, I had been out of the country for nearly a decade by the time he started publishing.

According to Norwegian news sources, he is tentatively named Hvaldimir or Comrade Belugov. Evidently, he is enjoying the local fish and attention.

If you've eaten Korean bibimbap you probably know the dish called gosari (the brown fried leaves with sesame seeds). It's made of an eagle fern, which is probably abundant where you live. It's said to taste like meat. (You can only use young stems and need to cook it to destroy a carcinogen these ferns produce.)

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be! The dishes may look expensive, but really aren't: https://nettbutikk.hvalprodukter.no/cat ... -hvalkjott. When I grew up, whale was some of the cheapest meat around. That nostalgia again...
