It's the power struggle of behemoths against evolution.The gun printing thing is over hyped for what the direct implications are. If you need a gun, then are you going to spend 8000 USD on the printer, the 1000 USD on a printer + I don't know how much in plastic. The pistol that you get out the other end is non reliable. In the US you can pick up a far better alternative for around 500 USD tops. Slightly different in countries where the guns laws are little more restrictive, but I am sure the criminal underworld could easily get hold of one.
