Sucks. I'd prefer to have the daylight saving time always :-(
At least it will bring us back to the normal time difference between the US and Europe. We switched three weeks ago (aside from HI and most of AZ).

The topology of this planet is not suitable for longitudinally large countries. That's unfixable. What is actually a bigger problem for me personally could be solved - seasons. I have to carry two sets of clothes (warm and light) in my luggage and there isn't even a changing room at the airport. It happened to me once that I travelled home in London from the airport in the winter in a light summer dress. A few big booms under the surface and the Earth's rotation axis would straighten up - as it should be.
