Thank you Paul, but I can't entirely determine whether you're joking or being serious. I can get that babies make women happy, but I'd guess them being entirely sure they have all they need makes even more satisified.

I'm always deadly serious, and not, simultaneously. I did a Bloomberg(?) interview with Barry Ritholtz a few years ago. Usual stuff about stupid quants. At the end he asked me if I had any advice for young people entering the business. And I said the same thing to him. It wasn't the sort of advice he was expecting! I then asked him if he had any children. No, he didn't. ...Tumbleweed...

There's nothing for twenty-year olds to do, besides having children. The world is miserable. You'll never experience the joy of having grown up in the '60s and '70s.

It can all be summed up by this:

This used to be called "sun tan lotion." Now it's "sunblock." All the Leftists and other vegetarians have sucked the fun out of life.

Have lots of babies. Call the first boy "Paul."

What's your stance on breast feeding?

Paul, I cannot entirely determine what makes you recommend having children now?
I could let my intuition guide me to a variety of possibilities as to why it might be.
But I think I'd like to ask you if you could assist me in seeing how you reached your opinion?
I seem to be lacking a lot of knowledge to get the conclusion that children now makes sense beyond
The idea that women become more motherly and men become more fatherly.

Because I can get the idea, that having children might make someone more mature and responsible.
But I fail to recognize if this is your point.

In a joking manner I guess I could also recognize a way to combat the "is it just me or do stupid people multiply quicker than normal people" idea.
But your point about having nothing to do, is in some sense lost on me entirely, because of exactly what my Signature reads.
I'm trying my best to catch up and devour knowledge and skills ASAP. Because of the idea in society that you follow "the plan"
school->degree->entry-level->better job->house & kids
Where kids are sort of the last thing to do. I do get that if this was to be followed accordingly my woman would be 35 by the time we have kids, which is idiocy compared to 60s/70s like you're proposing. But I guess it's sacrifice or sacrifice in the accordance with the above mentioned plan?
Am I missing something in this, I'd love to know any advice you good sirs have picked up.

I don't have anything against or fore breast feeding, I'm unsure if I'm supposed to have one? Neutral I guess.
If you mean IN PUBLIC, than I think I'd prefer to ask for women to do it in "breast feeding clinics", Denmark usually has these in restrooms

My theory is that it's a bad sign. All a woman needs is the right man. Otherwise, it's searching for excuses for delaying the decision and eventually giving up or escaping from the relationship. Women managed with next to nothing in the old times, and with the current support system bringing up a child is automatic - you just do the fine tuning.

This intrigues me a lot, I wonder at times what happens with smart people and their marriages.
Like if everybody ends up experiencing a Bill and Melinda gates situation?
I'm still young and I've only spend 5 years with the Girlfriend at this point.
You'll be fine. She's already got you capitalizing Girlfriend.
I think it's Copenhagentolondon's independent idea. Another bad sign. I might be committing a hasty generalisation though.

I think you have this upside down. You are the one who should be justifying your unnatural behaviour!

That's actually what's happening (snapshot of my own work: look at the right panel with historical data - before I applied DNN magic to it to predict two scenarios: general fall in birth rates vs increase of births for old women)
Screenshot_2021-05-05 Forecasting the impact of state pension reforms in post-Brexit England Wales using microsimulation an[...].png
Also, pregnancy at 35+ sounded crazy in the 60s(?), but not necessarily earlier. Historically women gave birth until very late age, even 50+. When changing economics allowed a working man provide for the whole family, the pressure on women to give birth early (and produce more strong arms to work for the capitalist) rose. We are now returning to the old statistics as women emerge in the job market (its character changing from intensive labour to office and services) and men learn to change diapers :-)

Paul, I think you're simply being impatient, what does 10 years mean in 25 to 35 or 50 to 60(your age right?)
I know people say loneliness is the biggest killer, but for a smart man like you, I'm expecting it's rather boredom?

Katastrofa, that's really cool data, but being new to this, I usually end up wondering where the data is gather, as my uni is my data provider unless I go do data collection by reading UN articles.
