Jennifer Mather is also a strong advocate of ethics in cephalopod experiments... and kitchen. Afaik the pseudo-scientists in many countries can do to them anything they like without anaesthesia - not that we can tell how effective anaesthesia is in those species. Same about lobsters - tell that to idiots who buy the "humanely skilled" bullshit.
I can lend you a great book she co-authored, "Octopus: The Ocean's Intelligent Invertebrate". After you finish the two previous ones :-)

Elaborate pls.

BTW, octopuses would be too much for the Bayesian brain theory.
The history of the future of the Bayesian brain - it seems one can time travel in any field ;-)

Yeah, they have to adapt to the new habitat. I don't understand why people despair over the fact that wild animals wilfully grow dependent on us - we don't leave them much choice. Where I come from we prepared and checked platforms, on which the returning storks nested. It probably just looks better in a bucolic landscape than a shabby town full of cars.

I am actually watching two falcons flitting about outside my office window right now. I am pretty sure they nest in the really tall building next door.

It must be an enthralling view. We have quite a few couples in London too (they pair-bond - or just never got caught?): on the chimney of Tate Modern, OXO Tower, Houses of Parliament, ...

"There were three pairs in London at the turn of the century; now there are 30, probably the second-highest density of peregrines anywhere in the world – after New York." The Guardian, March 2017

Nice story! While playing golf today, we saw two pairs of raptors out hunting just around us. Probably red-tailed hawks, but they somehow looked bigger.

Amazon chicken farms (Amazon does not directly own the farms, but distributes their dead chickens)

The girl who talk asked that pathetic little humanoid parasite about them is Priya Sawhney, an activist and co-founder of Direct Action Everywhere movement. She was arrested on trespassing and burglary charges and now faces felony charges for approaching Bezos :-)

She didn't pay proper respect to one of the masters of the world.

Devil rays jumping out of the sea. We don't know why they do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is simply for fun.

I'd be surprised if they all and every time did it for the same reason, Mr. Anthropoid.
