I hear hlidarendi has beautiful mown meads, I wonder if the truth of it fits with conventional depictions of Iceland

Flights to iceland are quite cheap now, so I'm assuming is not a good time of the year to go. I like dark and cold places, but hate fucking rain. Better avoid? How about a city break to Reykjavik.
