Since then they have failed to fit either of the two justifiable models of modern games because they are neither amateur activity done for the love of it nor are they entertainment organised commercially. The overwhelming majority of Olympic sports have no spectator following of any substance and in the case of those which do (such as tennis, basketball and football) the event is peripheral and a nuisance to the normal calendar. Olympians are no longer the outsiders who make it in their own way -- as Harold Abrahams was or Don Thompson who won a walking medal in 1960 training on his own, using his own methods. Nor are they genuinely commercial stars like Lewis Hamilton or Didier Drogba. They are Soviet-style, state-subsidised creatures, competing for the benefit of their political masters: "Team GB" with the PM as skipper.

I notice they said that adders are far more sparse, confined mainly to the outer boroughs. What about multipliers, dividers, integrators, and other quants?

?Veggie? diet blamed for poor performance of China?s women volleyball teambetter veggies than worms which they claimed their female distance runners were eating in 1993Quote In August, Chinese women won every track distance event in the Stuttgart World Championships. They easily took first in the 1500, 1-2-3 in the 3000 and 1-2 in the 10,000. In September, Chinese women ran their most astonishing race yet, demolishing the world records for 1500, 3000 and 10,000 meters in their National Games in Beijing. Almost overnight, they became by far the greatest female distance runners the world has every seen.
