QuoteThe researchers gathered a group of 471 pretend peers of varying body sizes and described to them a case of check fraud. They also presented them with one of four images?either a large man, a lean man, a large woman, or a lean woman?and identified the person in the photograph as the defendant. This is unclear. Were they supposed to judge on the sole base of the physical appearance of the people? They could have as well asked "which of these people you like the least".

No scrawny Bible thumping girly menNo Italians who go on excessive drinking binges on weekendsNo French Spaniards who roam the Left Bank with dark intent. And no, I am not heavy myself, but I will defend the very small sisterhood on this Forum.

Just curious. You seem like a very skinny and nervous type - 3 triple espressos a day...

Isn't this "fat chick" vs. "skinny chick" bias the same as the "skinny man" vs. "muscle man" bias? For better or worse, both men and women do judge other men and women based on their physical condition and appearances.

The thread title is clearly a joke. I'm more shocked by how stupid this "study" is.
