Don't worry, be happy.

Overheard at a lavish Black Tie Affair:"Ah, Sir Grumpy, allow me to introduce Lady Lascivious-Luxury..."(Grumpy brightens considerably, "Oh yes, how do you *do*?".)

2023 World Happiness Report[edit]
The 2023 World Happiness Report was a triannual analysis of 2020-2022, heavily influenced by COVID19 and other significant challenges.[24]
For the 6th consecutive year, Finland was ranked on top, followed by Denmark, Iceland, Israel and the Netherlands. In the top-10 rankings Israel jumped 5 places, while Switzerland fell 4 places.

If you believe that, you'll believe anything.

Swedes seem happy by nature. I must have met a biased (albeit very small) sample from The Netherlands, because they seemed pretty pessimistic or frustrated by their life. Poles are underrated imho, perhaps because of their habitual complaining about everything (but really, so what that the inflation rate is 18% - we trained almost 3000% in 1990!*).

*) I'm not sure of the exact calculation, but the numbers as you know was skyrocket high.

Maybe Gamal knows what were the actual inflation rates in that period. I'm not sure if the numbers I find are YOY or monthly change.

Dizzy Rascal seems pretty happy,
Those (Nordic?) organisations making up the numbers are in denial (suicides). Finland is tops.

My reading of most of these studies is that rather than inquiring about actual happiness (which is probably really hard to pin down), they add up a lot of vaguely related statistics and then tell people: “look at your great numbers - you should be happy, damnit!”
