Guess the country that issued this without cheating by obvious methods:
Count the humps. Really dromedarius?Dromedaris, Persian script?
Correct, of course, re Tuva. I only knew it from Tuva or Bust!. But I am slowing getting acquainted with the silovikiTuva, the country of Sergei Shoygu. Doesn't exist any more. I first thought of Moldova but they used Russian alphabet in the Soviet times.
Have no clue on the second, could guess: current Tuvan alphabet?.The Latin-based alphabet for Tuvan was devised in 1930 by a Tuvan Buddhist monk, Mongush Lopsang-Chinmit (a.k.a. Lubsan Zhigmed). A few books and newspapers, including primers intended to teach adults to read, were printed using this writing system. Lopsang-Chinmit was later executed in Stalinist purges on 31 December 1941.[15]
