At the moment we have a war against sugar, and food and beverages manufacturers are replacing sugar by all those horrible chemicals
instead of refined suger they should just tell people to eat non refined (bananas etc), not to replace with toxic chemicals...IYI morons with no clue on risk
Yeah, gut bacteria don't handle processed artificial products too well. I buy raw ripe dates (khajur) from the local Pakistani store and blend them (sometimes add water) to make a natural sweetener to be used instead of sugar. Persians have been eating them for 6 thousand years so we all must share some healthy sentiment to this food
