The Good, the Bad - but where's the ugly? Too early to canonize Benedict XVI.

You obviously weren't taught history at school. And 60's movies! Calling Gregory Peck a Nazi is tantamount to blasphemy.

My favourite pope of all time was John 23 (ah the 60's). He was once interviewed:

I: how many people work in the Vatican?
J23: about the half of them.

I: The Vatican is closed in the afternoons? When do people work?
J23: in the afternoons.

I have not live that much as you my dear friend, but my grand pa used to say the same thing.
As far as I remember Paulus VI was not bad, I was just a boy and do not remember much, but all the recent popes have been just magnificent, the best men in the Holy Curch. Karol Wojtila, has a special place we all owe him our present probably, a real saint. Ratzinger, his role as the brain of the church was very respectable, I admire him, these germans guys are just from other planet. Bergolio, we all latino americans are proud of him, what a man ... of God !
