My sister and I were having a mock text rant about New England winters this afternoon.
But if you think it is cold and treacherous, and are fighting your way through ice, snow, sleet, rain wherever you may be... think about this:
Top of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, elevation 6,288 feet (1,917 meters)
LAST UPDATED ON: THURSDAY DECEMBER 19, 4:48 PM EASTERN TIME (from the Mount Washington Observatory)
Wind Speed: 93 mph
10-Minute Gust: 110 mph
Wind Chill: -58 degrees F (about -50 C).
Suddenly, it seems very cozy here and we can dream about spring adventures while tucked under a down comforter sipping blackcurrant tea! : )
(Not a selfie, but just to show that women can and do climb Mount Washington, aka "Big George"!)
