Rants take up a lot of time and energy and the end results are not clear. However, if I were to go on a rant, it would be about people who do not listen, even when you are being completely rational and thoughtful, and have some important information to share. Then again, such a rant would probably become irrational and emotional, and the quality of the information would diminish over the duration of the rant.I believe that could be called information decay. Here is a pop quiz: What would be an appropriate Greek symbol for "information decay"?

BTW - some of you may be rolling your eyes by now, but finding a creative outlet, like cooking, is very helpful in lieu of ranting. I am quite happy thinking about the two loaf pans full of batter that I just put into the oven and soon I can have one slice each of Banana Walnut Bread and Chocolate Buttermilk Bread, the latter being lightly flavored with Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum.I will also deliver some to my next-door neighbors. They brought me some home-made grape jelly last week, featuring wild Concord grapes from their yard.**farmer - if you are reading this, I just want you to know that I am living in a sort of farm commune now and the whole region is full of Democrats. (farmer does get the prize for the best rants, political and otherwise, on this Forum.)**In retrospect - not a rant, but rather a soliloquy this evening.
