Well I have not found the mash up - maybe on a different thread.
In any case, some poems are like dreams and others are like nightmares!
That one was somewhere in between, with contributions from FrenchX, exner, ExSan, Cuchulainn, and Errrb, as I recall.
Anyway, goodnight and maybe some time for further literary pursuits on the weekend...
"FrenchX, exner, ExSan, Cuchulainn, and Errrb" (c), those are your favorite poets, I guess?
Among my favorites from this Forum, for sure. farmer wrote short stories and someone else too - long departed but strange European tales - such volume flowed out, they could have become a novel.
From this group, FrenchX was the romantic/symbolist poet - Hugo or Rimbaud, ExSan more like Neruda, exner firmly Goethe-Germanic, strong phrasing and diction, Cuchulainn - Seamus Heaney and Joyce, and Errrb a savage mix of absurdism and surrealism. Charles Bukowski and Kafka too. The artist/cartoonist Ralph Steadman also comes to mind. One of my favorites.
I put a poem up (bumped it) on the International Select poetry thread and read it again with my Russian dictionary last night.
Profane, ominous, angry, showing great spirit in adversity. Excellent work.
It's cool when people create art or poetry here - we are all deeper than our daily caricatures and petty posts may show.
The spectacle is not a collection of images, but a social relation among people, mediated by images. - Guy Debord
