Not wrestling.BJJ is newaza++.Nate played a tactically very good game. He is a real welterweight while Conor is not IMO. Those cartwheel kicks were pathetic. I must say I prefer free fight as created by Chris Dolman.

But BJJ can use dirty tricks. AFAIR BJJ is focused on getting to ground ASAP. It's good fun.Shotokan jujutsu is useless for newaza and tachiwaza. I stopped doing it when I got bored with the black belts at the club.A good example is Rhonda Rousy (judo) against Kelly Holm (karate?). And judo/BJJ seem to have more stamina. Just look at Rhonda.

How to put it, guys...Just for the record, I took it from Nate himself:It would seem that lack of meat in the diet makes people aggressive? ;-)

Just look at Rhonda.Holm is an ex-kickboxer according to the Internet. She looks like a trained boxer to me (not Mike Tyson-boxer heavyweight type though): punch combinations, strong core muscles (despite her relatively small posture), quick ducks & speed -- maybe just the "kick" part doesn't make it so much different? And afaik she took the belt from Rousey (only to pass it to Tate -- as if Holm could handle a judoka, but a professional wrestler was too much for her)...@Traden4Alpha "It would seem that lack of meat in the diet makes people aggressive? ;-)"I don't eat it doesn't mean I cannot beat it! :-)BTW,

Here is a judo line up in the university cricket pitch in '74. The last fight (bottom left) was the toughest but I managed to end on top with a strangle by the time we reached the mat. My right hand is grabbing his belt for the turn over.

I had not seen him since 1979 and he has been living about 2k from my cottage for the last 15 years.. small world.BTW Rhonda should have had Chris D. as trainer. Holly H. is a good boxer. if you want to do this stuff, I recommend Budokwai in Gilston Rd. edit: Holly H.

You mean Holly H. Yeah, I admire her attitude and style. The forthcoming Rhonda vs Misha is going to be interesting.BTW, I'm after a sparring. They've ruined my makeup and that redness on my chick is not a blushing powder (these don't hurt :-))

They've ruined my makeup and that redness on my chick is not a blushing powder (these don't hurt :-))Looks like it was a good punch. I hope it didn't hurt. Holly vs Miesha in that standing lock would not happened if she knew jujutsu. While ago my ex-judo Dutch trainer legend (World championX2, 2 gold medals at Olympics 1972 in Munich, etc.) always said to just take it easy the first few minutes and size up the opponent. Conor and Rhonda were too eager, got frustrated and lost their respective fights.

That's strange. I removed the filename from the link before logging off, but you still could see the photo...Arnica or chestnut ointments are great for bruises.QuoteOriginally posted by: AnalyticalVegayou look like you're 10 years old.Take after my father (he's 87):
