Do you think her relatively big height is an advantage in judo? When I trained Kyokushin I had a problem with shorter opponents (I'm slightly taller than her).

I think she will have less problems with taller opponents. She stands upright  and her gripping style is amazing. Reminds be a bit of Mark Huizinga.

I think there's another issue: she seems to be very strong as well.
Ukrainian judokas are naturally very strong (even more so than most countries), so they can skip power training.

She's looks like an East Slav (she's from Sumy Oblast, which is far north-eastern Ukraine). They are strong, but slender people, forged in the hardship of life among the thick forests, wild rivers and treacherous marshes. The HUGE feet are also a characteristic body feature :-) Think how stable she must be despite her height and slenderness. We are more Balkan/Mediterranean in south-west: dark (not as dark as I though), taller than most Slavs, but definitely not strong and stocky as the Eastern guys. The most pathetic judoka can throw me like a feather. But we have fast thinking and reflexes :-D That's why I switched to boxing...

Was one of his techniques trampling down the opponent? :-) My feet are petite and it's always been a problem in most sports. I wear ankle supporters for jogging.

Yeah, I hated fighting him; he was a useless judoka and he used dirty tricks just to bully people.
